Tim Mulleman (°1993) is componist, arrangeur, pianist en leerkracht.
Tim componeerde voor I Solisti, Jan Michiels, Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, Het Collectief, Kugoni Trio (CD Etcetera 2021), Koi Collective, Natalia Jarzabek (eerste fluitiste Kraków Philharmonic, CD DUX 2019), Duo Vermeulen-Verpoest (CD Etcetera 2020), de Julian Bream Foundation en voor masterclasses van het Arditti Kwartet en het Ensemble Sturm und Klang. Zijn muziek werd gebracht op o.a. het Muziekgebouw (Amsterdam), Transit (Leuven), Bijloke Wonderland (Gent), Bozar Next Generation (Brussel), Festival Universitario de Flauta Transversa (Mexico), de Belgian Music Days (Leuven). Als componist ging hij in de leer bij Annelies Van Parys en Bram Van Camp.
Tims arrangementen worden gespeeld en gevraagd door Philippe Graffin, Het Collectief, I Solisti, l'Orchestre Dijon-Bourgogne, het ensemble van de Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Tmesis (CD Etcetera 2018), Raymond Honing, Weiner Ensemble, Ensemble Fractales, de Rotterdam Chamber Music Society, ensemble ars ad hoc. Zijn bewerkingen zijn te horen op festivals als het Kamarimusiikfestivaali Musiikkia! Ruovesi (Finland), DAVOS Festival (Zwitserland), K&Mfest (Noorwegen), Festival de Saintes & Festival International de Musique de Chambre de Thèze & Festival Sonik (Frankrijk), Harmos Festival (Portugal), Schiermonnikoog Festival (Nederland), Festival Van Vlaanderen & Festival Resonances & Festival Midis-Minimes & Klara in de Singel & De Zomer van Sint-Pieter & Klarafestival & MIRY Sundays (België). Als transcriptor werkte Tim nauw samen met Kris Defoort aan de pianoreductie van diens opera The Time of Our Singing.
Als kamermusicus treedt Tim frequent op met pianiste Hiu-Man Chan. Onder de naam Pianoduo Mimese brachten zij februari 2023 hun debuutalbum "Attention, les Apaches!" uit bij Etcetera. - volledig mogelijk gemaakt door vzw Beeldenstorm. Deze CD schopte het o.a. tot CD van de week bij het Berlijnse magazine Rondo. Pianoduo Mimese werd in 2020 finalist van kamermuziek- competitie Supernova van Klara. In 2021 speelden zij een concert voor Klara Live en VRT.NU. Dit als deel van "De Twintigers" waarin Tim zich profileerde als componist, arrangeur en pianist. Tijdens hun specialiserende studies bij Jan Michiels sleepten zij tweemaal een veelbelovende summa cum laude in de wacht.

Verder deelde Tim het podium met Tmesis (het ensemble dat Tim oprichtte en Klara’s Supernova won in 2016), de Rotterdam Chamber Music Society, violist Diede Verpoest en sopraan Liesbeth Devos. Zijn muziek was reeds te horen op NPO4, BBC3. Klara, Musiq3, Radio 2 en VRT.NU. Tim studeerde piano in Wenen aan de Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst bij Christiane Karajeva en op het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel bij Jan Michiels en Hans Ryckelinck waar zijn eindrecital en thesis – specialiserend in transcriptie en improvisatie – een grootste onderscheiding werd toegekend. In 2016 ontving hij er de Patrimoniumprijs ‘Maurice Lefranc’.
Tim is leerkracht aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel en aan de Kunstacademie Dil'arte, Dilbeek.

His arrangements are commissioned and performed by Philippe Graffin, Het Collectief, l'Orchestre Dijon-Bourgogne, the ensemble of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony, Royal Northern Sinfonia, I Solisti, Tmesis (CD Etcetera 2018), Raymond Honing, Weiner Ensemble, Ensemble Fractales, the Rotterdam Chamber Music Society, ensemble ars ad hoc. His arrangements are programmed at festivals such as Kamarimusiikfestivaali Musiikkia! Ruovesi (Finland), DAVOS Festival (Switzerland), K&Mfest (Norway), Festival de Saintes & Festival International de Musique de Chambre de Thèze & Festival Sonik (France), Harmos Festival (Portugal), Schiermonnikoog Festival (Netherlands), Festival Resonances & Festival Midis-Minimes & Klara in de Singel & De Zomer van Sint-Pieter & Klarafestival & MIRY Sundays (Belgium). As a transcriptor, Tim worked closely together with Kris Defoort on the piano reduction of his latest opera The Time of Our Singing.
In chamber music formation, Tim frequently performs with pianist Hiu-Man Chan. Together, as Pianoduo Mimese, they released their debut CD "Attention, les Apaches!" Feb 2023 with label Etcetera - made possible by asbl Beeldenstorm. In 2020 they became finalists of Klara's Supernova chamber music competition. In 2021 they played a concert for Klara Live and VRT.NU as a part of "De Twintigers". They were granted a summa cum laude twice for their postgraduate recitals in 2019 and 2020. They performed in a packed Bozar and made their debut at OdeGand/Festival of Flanders 2013. More info: pianoduomimese.com.
Next to Pianoduo Mimese, he shared the stage with the Rotterdam Chamber Music Society, violinist Diede Verpoest, soprano Liesbeth Devos and quintet Tmesis, of which Tim was the founder and won the Supernova competition of Klara in 2016. His music has been broadcasted on NPO4, BBC3. Klara, Musiq3, Radio 2 and VRT.NU. Tim studied piano in Vienna at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien with Christiane Karajeva and at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Jan Michiels, where his final recital and research thesis – specialising in transcription and improvisation – gave him a greatest distinction. In 2016 the Conservatory awarded him the Patrimonium Prize 'Maurice Lefranc'.
Tim teaches at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and Kunstacademie Dil'arte, Dilbeek.
